Hello Dr. Pizzo! I'm a patient and my primary care physician is taking Celebrex. I was prescribed Celebrex for my pain and inflammation. My doctor suggested that I take it because it's very important for my body's ability to function properly. I have been taking Celebrex since I was 16 years old. I have taken Celebrex for years and have had no side effects. However, I did experience some side effects and had to stop taking it because of the side effects. However, when I did stop taking Celebrex, it became painful for me. I took it for several months and it has been working. My pain has gone away but I still have some of the side effects and no weight gain. I feel better and feel more comfortable in my own skin. I'm happy to hear that Celebrex works for me. Pizzo, I understand what you are trying to do. Celebrex works best when taken on an empty stomach. However, it doesn't help you to be more active. Also, it might be better to take it before bed so that you feel drowsy. Take Celebrex in the morning and take it at bedtime.
